The Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of Elyria City Schools and is responsible for all financial operations, as well as the five-year forecast. The Treasurer serves as the public records officer and secretary to the Board of Education. With more than 700 employees and a budget topping $100 million, Elyria is one of Ohio's large urban school districts. The Treasurer's Office is responsible for payroll and benefits of its employees as well as all district purchase orders, accounts payable and receivable, local, state and federal grants and individual school building activity funds.
